Estate planning is a process. It involves people (your family, other individuals and, in many cases, charitable organizations of your choice), your assets (your property) and the various forms of ownership and title that those assets may take, and it addresses your future needs in the event you ever become unable to care for yourself.

Through estate planning, you can determine:
• How and by whom your assets will be managed for your benefit during your lifetime if you ever become unable to manage them yourself.
• When and under what circumstances it makes sense to distribute your assets during your lifetime.
• How and to whom your assets will be distributed after your death.
• How and by whom your personal care will be managed and how health care decisions will be made during your lifetime if you become unable to care for yourself.

Dubuque Savasaurus Club Movie Event

Join DuTrac’s Savasaurus Club for the showing of Toy Story 3.

Woody, Buzz and the whole gang are back! As their owner Andy prepares to depart for college, his loyal toys find themselves in daycare where untamed tots with sticky little fingers do not play nice. So, it’s all for one and one for all as they plan their great escape, joined by Barbie’s counterpart Ken, a thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants and a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear called Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear.

Admission is one new school item per person from the following list and includes movie, small pop, small popcorn and snack:
• Pack of Crayola crayons
• Child’s scissors
• Backpack
• Elmer’s glue
• Folder and wide-lined notebook
• Box of Kleenex tissues
• Box of Crayola colored pencils
• Pack of Crayola washable markers

Conklin’s Barn Dinner Theatre Comedy

Sunday, October 17, 2010 • $65 per person

The fur really flies in “Not Now, Darling,” an outrageous farce set in the exclusive fur salon of Bodley and Crouch. The play bubbles along merrily right up to the end as two business partners find themselves caught up in a story of suspicious wives, mistaken identities, scantily clad girls in closets and a continuous barrage of rapid fire jokes.

Conklin’s Barn offers professional theatre and fine dining in a rustic, country setting. Sunday brunch features orange juice, homemade pastry, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, baked ham, fried chicken, two other main entrees, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, salad bar and desserts.

Christmas by the Lake

Saturday - Sunday, December 4 - 5, 2010 • $230 per person

Christmas by the Lake is another “can’t miss” two-day event with DuTrac Community Credit Union. Enjoy the Festival of Trees upon our mid-morning arrival in Clear Lake, followed by lunch on your own and an afternoon experiencing free horse-drawn carriage rides, Santa’s Workshop, craft displays, street vendors, treats, holiday merchandise, carolers and much more! Around 3 p.m., we will check in to our hotel to freshen up before attending the lighted Christmas Parade with a breathtaking fireworks display to follow. The evening culminates with a festive Christmas dinner and show (show title to be announced). After checking out of our hotel Sunday morning, we head to Waterloo for holiday shopping at Crossroads Center Mall and dinner at the famous Brown Bottle Restaurant. Our holiday journey concludes with our arrival in Dubuque around 7 p.m.

Price is $230 per person, based on double occupancy, and includes transportation, one night’s accommodations, one breakfast, one dinner and show, one dinner at the Brown Bottle Restaurant, Christmas by the Lake and admissions, taxes and gratuities on included accommodations, attractions and meals, juice, donut and driver gratuity.
